Clarington Council sets by-laws, holds Council and Committee meetings, approves development, establishes the tax levy and provides oversight over the Municipality's administration.

Residents can help advise Council and help shape the future of the community by applying to sit on a variety of advisory committees and boards. You can also follow Council by watching the meetings live on our Council meetings page. Just find the meeting you are interested in and click on it. The livestream will begin five minutes before the scheduled start time.
